End-to-End Prospects Logo

The Problem

I was tasked with creating a logo for a new Spring/Summer hockey team skating out of Champions Skating Center. The team name is End-To-End Prospects. Speaking with my team we wanted t represent Connecticut and hockey.

The Process

I first researched about the typefaces we wanted to use. We wanted something eye-popping that would fit an italic style. After researching different typefaces we decided to use “911 Porscha”.

As part of the design, we wanted to represent a hockey rink within a Connecticut outline. To enhance the symbolism of the design, we wanted to use an uppercase E as the goals to represent the “end-to-end”.

After deciding on a overall design, I decided to use colors that would work well within the Champions Skating Center branding. Doing so we decided to use red, blue, and yellow.

The Solution

I created a logo that both digitally and physically will represent the End-to-End Prospects Spring/Summer teams. The use of the Connecticut outline is to represent the state that the teams skate out of. As mentioned before, I used the letter E as the goals to both represent goalie nets and the “End-to-End” name. The final little touch I decided to add was a goal siren in the top. Every hockey fan knows the infamous goal horn at NHL games and we wanted to represent that within our design.

The Impact

My work creates an impact because it is a team that is both representing the Hartford area community but a team that youth hockey players are striving to be on and enjoy being on. I can remember getting my team jerseys for the first time and being so excited to see the design of it. The excitement of a new team creates a big impact at the rink and gains lots of attention from players wanting to join.
