Mockups
With a simple logo design, I wanted to keep a circle logo to start off. I also wanted to try and represent the MassConn United hockey club colors. As the main team that skates out of Enfield Twin Rinks and the NE Wild being an affiliate summer team, I wanted to try using the same colors to match the brand. Using a simple angry looking bear, I was able to make a simple circle logo.
Version 1
After discussing with my managers, we decided we wanted something more free flowing in the design. Using the style of Minnesota Wild’s banner below its wild animal, we wanted to replicate that into our design. I chose to keep it very simple without any animal or icon within the design.
Version 2
After liking the overall style of the previous design, we decided to bring in the bear icon to the design. We also decided that the font used for “New England” was too much script and wanted a little more of a common font, while still keeping the flowing style of script. Talking with my managers, we decided for the final design we wanted to keep this design but wanted to adjust some of the colors for it.
